The Unit for Atherothrombotic Diseases (director: Prof. Rosanna Abbate) is a Unit of the University Hospital of Careggi in Florence, Italy that provides clinical and laboratory activities on the diagnosis and managment of patients with a wide variety of atherothrombotic diseases of different localizations.
 
This University Unit is part of the Department of Medical and Surgical Critical Care of the University of Florence under the section of "Pathophysiology and Clinics of Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis" and of the Department of Heart and Vessels of the University Hospital of Careggi in Florence, Italy.
Within this Unit it is located the Regional Centre for Thrombosis, director: Prof. Domenico Prisco as well as the genetic and molecular diagnostic activities of the  Marfan Centre, director: Prof. Guglielmina Pepe.
